The National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme is a Central government-sponsored scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) to reduce the dropout rate at class 8 and encourage them to continue studies at the secondary stage.

How to check NMMS Result 2023?
Step 1. Visit the official website of NMMS of your state
Step 2. On the homepage, click on ‘Result’ tab
Step 3. A new page will open, login using your ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’
Step 4. Your NMSS Result will be displayed on the screen
Step 5. Download and take a printout of the result for future reference
To be eligible for the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship, students are required to take State Level Examination which consists of the following two tests, (i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The students must pass NMMSS Examination with an aggregate of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Mental Ability Test (MAT) to be taken together at minimum of 40% (32% for SC/ST students).

NMMS Scheme Amount Information
The government assists the eligible students with a scholarship amount of Rs. 12000/- per annum so that they could continue their secondary education in Government or Aided schools under the Government of Gujarat. Eligible candidates will have to fill the NMMS Application Form. Scholarship of Rs. 12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) per student is awarded to selected students every year for study in classes from IX to XII in State Government, Government Aided, and local body schools.
How many students will be selected for NMMS result 2022-23 Class 8th?
Through NMMS, 1,00,000 scholarships will be offered. Hence, a total of 100,000 students across the country will be selected in the NMMS 2022-23 result. There will be a state quota, based on which students will be selected from each state.
